Thiel Road continues straight past the intersection with Gould Rd. and you can park at the end to access the Thunderbolt Trailhead . Hike up the steep trail , and at 1.6 miles you reach the ridge crest and meet up with the Appalachian Trail . Turn left (south) on the AT, to reach Greylock Summit.
